ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WKBW) — Nolan Faulkner is pretty great at being nine-months old. He likes his toys. He likes laughing. He loves his parents.

His parents are Chaylee and Adam. Last February, they adopted Nolan.

“A baby is a baby, whether we adopt him or if he comes from us. So, when we first started discussing it, I never even hesitated. I was on board from the beginning,” said Adam Faulkner.

November is National Adoption Month. It's something this Orchard Park family wanted to bring some attention to.

According to the U.S Department of Health and Human Services there are around 123,000 kids looking to be adopted.

“The hero is the birth mother. The birth mother who chooses adoption. Because, that's the ultimate sacrifice that you could give to your child,” said Chaylee Faulkner.

The Faulkners are hoping to make Nolan a big brother and they're looking to do it through adoption, again.

“We're looking forward to doing it all over again, because it was such a great experience. And to us a baby is a baby, no matter how they come to us,” said Chaylee Faulkner.
