Northtowns dentist charged with forcibly touching a patient

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — A dentist is accused of forcibly touching a female patient during her dental appointment at his office in the Town of Tonawanda.

The Erie County District Attorney's office says 72-year-old Tiberiu Sfintescu of Williamsville has been charged with forcible touching, which is a misdemeanor.

The incident happened back on May 27 of this year.

Sfintescu is scheduled to return to court November 30.

He was released on his own recognizance.

If convicted on the charge, Sfintescu faces up to one year in jail.

A temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
