Niagara Falls police investigating shooting, 45-year-old man killed

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Niagara Falls police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Friday.

According to officials, police responded to the report of a person shot outside of 2032 Pine Avenue just before 5 p.m. Friday. A 45-year-old man was shot and transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where he later died.

The victim has been identified as Franklin H. Walker, of North Tonawanda.

Officials say the shooting is believed to have originated on the 600 block of 20th Street.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call NFPD at (716) 286-4553.
