NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Niagara Falls police are investigating a two-vehicle crash which occurred on the 500 block of 24th Street around 8:30 p.m.

Officials say a sedan operated by a 22-year-old Niagara Falls man was traveling north on 24th Street when the driver allegedly ran a two-way stop sign and was struck by an SUV that was traveling east on Ferry Avenue.

The two vehicles involved in the crash came to rest against a home on 24th Street.

Officials say the driver of the sedan was extricated by the Niagara Falls Fire Department and was transported to ECMC with head and internal injuries. He is currently in serious condition.

The driver of the SUV was taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Officials say inspections determined the front porch of the home that was struck by the vehicles was not safe for use.

The crash remains under investigation and officials say charges are pending.
