NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Police Superintendent Bryan DalPorto submitted his resignation this week, effective January 1, 2019.
The Niagara Gazette is reporting his choice was motivated by a previous contractual change, that resulted in "less money for overtime" than he was earning in straight time.
The Niagara Falls fire chief stepped down in November. Both roles are now, or soon-to-be vacant.
