NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara Falls Uniformed Fire Fighters Association Local 714 says an elderly woman and a dog were rescued from a burning home Friday night.
Officials say crews were dispatched to a home on 56th Street around 10 p.m. for the report for a structure fire with entrapment.
Firefighters were made aware of an elderly woman trapped in a bedroom near the front door, the house was reported to have multiple oxygen tanks in use as well.
Firefighters entered the residence, removed the woman and a small dog, and extinguished the flames.
The cause of the fire was not released, no injuries were announced.
