NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office has announced that K9 bloodhound JJ suddenly passed away Monday.

Officials say JJ was bred, born, raised and trained by Special Deputy Joseph Moll.

Special Deputy Moll and bloodhound JJ spent 10 years together investigating several high profile criminal cases, as well as missing persons, according to the sheriff’s office. They describe her as very friendly and great with children.

Bloodhound JJ was named after Sergeant Jeff Juron, who passed away in December 2005.

“Her dedication and love for her job, as well as her friendly and positive demeanor, will be greatly missed,” says the sheriff’s office.
