CATTARAUGUS COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State police announce the arrest of a Franklinville man and woman in connection with a fatal 2015 crash.
Police say 41-year-old Brian Shobert and 46-year-old Michele Harter were arrested Thursday for their role in a one-car crash that killed 39-year-old Steven Kessler of Grand Island in 2015 in the Town of Humphrey.
Following an investigation it was revealed that Shobert and Harter were the other occupants of the vehicle involved in the fatal crash.
Shobert was indicted on the following charges: reckless endangerment in the first degree, criminally negligent homicide, vehicular manslaughter in the second degree, driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. He was arraigned and is being held in the Cattaraugus County Jail on $25,000 bail/$50,000 bond.
Harter was indicted ona reckless endangerment in the first degree charge and released under the supervision of Cattaraugus County probation.
