New York State police arrest man in crash that killed 7-year-old girl in Pomfret

POMFRET, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York State Police say they've arrested a man who was involved in a crash that killed a 7-year-old girl in the Town of Pomfret.

Investigators say 24-year-old Nicholas Mineweaser of Lakewood was arrested and charged with Vehicular Manslaughter in the 2nd degree and Driving While Impaired by Drugs on Thursday.

The crash which happened at State Route 60 killed 7-year-old Emmaline Wilcox in February.

A toxicology report indicated that Mineweaser was intoxicated by drugs.

The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office, NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit, Commercial Vehicle enforcement Unit, Fredonia Police Department assisted in this investigation.
