BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — The new ski and snowboarding season is set to begin this coming Thursday, December 10, at Holiday Valley in Ellicottville.

Nearly 250 snowmaking machines have been working around the clock blasting snow from one end of the resort, to the other.

That includes Sunrise, Cindy's Run, Mardi Gras, Morning Star, Yodeler and the Candy Cane loop.

There will be no night skiing on opening day.
