BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Pretty soon, you can see a full 100 years of New Era Cap history at the Buffalo History Museum.

The cap company is celebrating its centennial year, and the 100 years of people and moments that added to the company's success.

In honor of the anniversary, New Era will launch special collections that feature special designs and collaborations throughout the year. Partnerships span the globe, by including fashion brands like Helmut Lang, Yohji Yamamoto, Levi’s, and Havaianas.

The Buffalo-born company is also partnering with the Buffalo History Museum to create the first comprehensive exhibit for the brand, featuring never-before-seen artifacts from the New Era archives. You'll be able to see over 150 pieces from the 100-year history, including Gatsby-style hats from the 20s, to the first baseball hat worn on the field.

“As the fourth-generation owner, it’s a great honor to celebrate 100 years of New Era Cap and the legacy started by my great grandfather, Ehrhardt Koch," said Chris Koch, President and CEO of New Era Cap. "With humble beginnings in Buffalo, NY, where we still proudly call home to our global headquarters, the company has evolved from a small headwear company into a premier international lifestyle brand that includes apparel and accessories.”

The museum exhibit is expected to open in the fall of this year. For more information, head to NewEraCap.com.
