BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — To celebrate Earth Day, the group FeedMore WNY opened up a new community garden.

The garden at 91 Holt Street in Buffalo will offer gardening, nutrition and education to the area.

People who take part in this new gardening program will also be able to take home produce from the garden when it becomes available.

The Community Garden will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be master gardeners on site on Tuesdays and Saturdays to help people with the planting, tending and harvesting process.

Free garden and nutrition workshops will also be held monthly. The first one is coming up Saturday, April 27 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Anyone interested should call 935-6689.
