BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Neighbors in Buffalo teamed up with organizers to improve gardens in the Perry neighborhood.

The WNY Land Conservancy along with Groundwork Buffalo Green Team worked together to beautify the DL&W corridor area Wednesday.

The corridor is a one and a half mile stretch of abandoned rail running from Canalside to the Buffalo River. The land crosses through the Old First Ward, Perry, and Valley neighborhoods.

Members of The WNY Land Conservancy are transforming this abandoned corridor into an iconic, innovative, and multi-use urban nature trail and greenway.

This program is sponsored by the BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York Blue Fund.
