AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Several firefighters worked to fight a house fire in Amherst Wednesday night.
Eggertsville fire crews were called to the fire in a single-family home in the area of North Bailey Avenue and Emerson Drive around 8 p.m.
According to the fire chief, two firefighters were taken to the hospital for evaluation. An occupant was also taken to the hospital.
Fire officials say the home is heavily damaged. The fire is contained at this time.
The damage to the structure and contents is estimated to be worth $145,000.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
