WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) — One man is dead after an early Monday morning house fire in West Seneca.

West Seneca Police say the fire started on Clinton Street just before 5:00 a.m. When crews arrived, the house was "fully involved."

As a result, Clinton Street was closed between Broadway and Borden for hours.

Police say the victim, who has not been identified, was taken to South Buffalo Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

It took firefighters about 40 minutes to get the fire under control. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Clinton Street has since been reopened.
