TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N .Y. (WKBW) — New York State police say a motorcyclist is dead after a crash on the I-190 in the Town of Tonawanda Tuesday night.
Around 8:50 p.m. Tuesday troopers responded to the I-190 in the Town of Tonawanda for the report of a crash.
Police say a motorcycle traveling northbound operated by 38-year-old Brandon Gissendanner of Buffalo failed to negotiate a curve, struck the center concrete barrier and the motorcycle went airborne then hit a light pole and a truck on the southbound side.
Gissendanner was pronounced dead at the scene by the Erie County Medical Examiner, no other injuries were reported.
The light pole and wires blocked the southbound lanes for several hours.
Police say the investigation is ongoing at this time, anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call state police at (716) 935-6528.
