BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The memories of the loss of loved ones from gun violence in the City of Buffalo still remain fresh in in the minds of mothers gathered at Empire Beauty School in Walden Avenue Friday night. Mother's Day can be a gruesome reminder of the pain they still feel years later.

Sharon Tell wants these moms to feel pampered this Mother's Day--at least for the night. She alongside other community organizations and partners put together a free event to bring together mothers who have lost a child or children to gun violence and to pamper them with all things manis, pedis and hair.

This is the first Mother's Day themed event for Tell, but she wants to make it an annual tradition.
