BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — For the first time in modern history the NYS unemployment rate stands at 3.9%, the lowest number ever recorded. 5200 new jobs were added in the private sector for the month of November.
Nationwide the November unemployment rate is 3.7%, unchanged from the month before.
The most new jobs came in the education and health services sector, followed by leisure and hospitality, and then construction. All metro areas in the state saw a gain in jobs last month, with the exception of Elmira.
