BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Less than two years after its grand opening in the Queen City, Misuta Chow's is filing for bankruptcy.
Despite the filing, the restaurant/bar/arcade on Main Street in Buffalo is vowing to stay open. "Chapter 11 comes with a stigma attached to it that Misuta Chow’s is going to beat", reads a statement posted on Misuta Chow's Facebook page. "It will not be the last chapter of our story. We are not closing our doors. We are not going out of business."
As part of a statement issued by the restaurant's owners reads, “No one wants to final Chapter 11, especially with a business like this that should easily be operating in the black. But we need some relief. We need a moment to breathe. And that’s what this does for us. This gives us the time and space to build the capital we need so we can reorganize our debts and create viable repayment plans, and stay true to our word with all our vendors, lenders and creditors.
The business opened to great anticipation and fanfare back in July of 2018.
