LEROY, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a little boy.
According to investigators, the Genesee County Emergency Dispatch center got a call around 7:55 a.m. on Wednesday about a 4-year-old boy missing from a home in Leroy. Deputies say the boy was found approximately 40 minutes later in a swimming pool in a nearby yard.
The boy was rushed to United Memorial Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
At this time investigators say the case appears to be an accidental drowning.
No further details are being released at this time.
