Man shot in Town of Niagara, 'dumped' out of SUV in Lewiston

TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Town of Niagara police say there was a large exchange of gunfire where a large party was taking place Wednesday night.

According to police, an officer heard the sound of exchanging gunfire in the area of Power City Lodge on Delaware Avenue where a large party was taking place.

An SUV fled the scene as an officer approached, the vehicle was pursued north on Hyde Park Boulevard.

The SUV came to a brief stop at Our Lady of Peace in Lewiston where police say a man was "dumped."

The vehicle then sped away and officers assisted the man that was dumped from the vehicle.

The man was transported to Mt. St. Mary's where he was treated and then transported to ECMC for what police say were non-life threatening injuries.

Police say it appears multiple parties were firing multiple weapons as over 14 round casings of different calibers were recovered.
