Man shot and killed in Niagara Falls, suspect in custody

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — Niagara Falls police announced a suspect has been taken into custody after a man was shot and killed.

Around 11 a.m. June 21, 47-year-old Maurice Hill was shot five times on the 3100 block of 9th Street in Niagara Falls, according to police. Hill was rushed to ECMC for treatment, he was pronounced dead June 24.

U.S. Marshals and Niagara Falls police were able to locate the suspect, 27-year-old Brian “Fatboy” Martinez-Torres, he was taken into custody without incident on June 25 in Niagara Falls.

Martinez-Torres was arraigned in Niagara Falls City Court and bail was set at $150,000 cash/$300,000 property. His next court date is scheduled for July 24.
