NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WKBW) — A man was shot and killed in the City of Niagara Falls early Saturday Morning.
Niagara Falls Police say the victim was Roderick Haslip, 58, of Niagara Falls. Police says he was found in a white van on Centre Avenue near 10th Street.
Niagara Falls officers were responding to an unrelated call just after 1am when they heard gunshots. Police say they responded quickly and found Haslip bleeding from his leg. First responders arrived and began treating him. He died at the scene.
Police believe, Haslip was shot a few blocks away from Centre Avenue. Shell casings were found on the corner of 13th and Grove Avenue. It’s believed Haslip drove to Centre Avenue before police say, “he could go no further and stopped.”
Police are investigating and looking for any witnesses who might have more information on this shooting.
