Man leads police chase through three towns, facing several charges

OAKFIELD, N.Y. (WKBW) — An Oakfield man faces several charges from multiple towns, after he led police on a chase.

Authorities say they attempted to stop 37-year-old Jonathan Suggs for an expired registration in the Town of Batavia, early Tuesday morning.

Suggs then attempted to flee officers in the towns of Alabama, Batavia, and Oakfield.

Suggs has been charged with the following

Town of Alabama

  • Two counts of failing to stop at a stop sign
  • Speeding
  • Speeding in a 55 mph zone

Town of Batavia

  • Failing to yield right of way for an emergency vehicle
  • Speeding in a 55 mph zone
  • Unregistered motor vehicle

Town of Oakfield

  • Aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree
  • Speeding
  • Speeding in a 55 mph zone
  • Unlawfully fleeing a police officer in the third degree
  • Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle

Suggs is expected to appear in Town of Oakfield Court at 6 p.m. on March 2nd, Town of Alabama Court at 6 p.m. on March 11th, and Town of Batavia Court at 1 p.m. on March 12th.
