JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — One person is in custody following a shooting overnight in Jamestown.
Police have charged Stephon Thomas, 20, with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
According to investigators, Thomas fired several shots from a car at a house at East 7th Street and Lincoln Street about 12:50 a.m. Several adults and young children were inside at the time. No one was hurt.
Police say it appears this was a targeted shooting and not a random act of violence. They say they believe the shooting is linked to another shooting from September 30 on Bowen Street.
