Man charged with murder for fatal McKinley Mall stabbing

HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Niagara Falls man who police say stabbed and killed his ex-girlfriend inside the McKinley Mall has been charged with murder.

44-year-old Keith Sparks is charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with the death of 38-year-old Mallicia Tipps. The Erie County District Attorney announced Wednesday that Sparks was arraigned before a judge earlier in the week.

Police say on September 25th, Sparks stabbed Tipps inside the Sears at the McKinley Mall. If he's convicted on the murder charge, he faces a maximum of 25 years to life in prison.

Sparks is due back in court Wednesday, December 4th.
