AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man was arrested by Amherst police Monday for allegedly operating a stolen vehicle.
According to police 18-year-old Tyrell Patterson-Scott was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle in the third degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree.
A detective observed a vehicle on the I-290 that was known to be reported stolen. The vehicle was stopped on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst and Patterson-Scott was taken into custody without incident.
Police say this is the sixth time since September 2020 that Patterson-Scott has been arrested in Erie County for vehicle theft-related crimes.
