Man arrested for threatening victim with knife at Grand Island motel

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Georgia man is under arrest after police say he threatened someone with a knife at a motel on Grand Island Boulevard on Grand Island.

The Erie County Sheriff's Department was called to the motel, which was not named in the press release from the Sheriff's Office, around 3:00 a.m. September 2nd for complaints of a man with a weapon. They say 43-year-old Tyrone Billingslea threatened someone with a knife, and also had a number of out-of-state felony narcotics warrants.

Sheriff's Deputies arrested Billingslea and charged him with menacing withe a weapon and harassment. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center.
