BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Make A Wish is celebrating 40 years of granting wishes to children with a critical illness.
With their main fundraiser gala canceled, they are taking the event online.
They are hosting an "Anniversary Auction" with 200 items for people to bid on.
Kate Glaser from Make A Wish says they are still granting wishes-- while taking the proper precautions and postponing some travel wishes.
"We are continuing to grant wishes during this time of uncertainty and granting wishes weekly," Glaser said. "We really need those funds to be able to do that. We are 100-percent funded by community support."
The auction is live right now and will end Sunday at 8 pm.
Glaser says many people are reaching out wanting to help, and for right now, this is a great opportunity to give kids some hope.
