HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — With Turkey Day behind us, it's all about Christmas and getting that shopping done. Main Street and Buffalo Street in the Village of Hamburg has the shops to get you into the Holiday spirit.
Walking into Expressions Floral Gift Shoppe your nose takes in the smell of Christmas Trees and cookies. Decorated beautifully with ornaments and flowers, shop owner Jeannie Heckmiller says she takes a lot of time to make sure the shop looks perfect for the season.
"We think shopping for Christmas should be fun and magical and exciting," Heckmiller said. This time of year is so important for small businesses.
"By shopping with us we are able to pay it forward and support your local organizations, fire departments, schools, churches and a lot of big box stores don't do that," Heckmiller said.
There's coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, home decor stores, and gift shops up and down the street. Laura Hackathorn owns What a Woman Wants Boutique and says the Village is buzzing with all different styles of shops.
"I really look at the Village that provides service for our community as a local family and i advocate for supporting your family first just as you would your family at home," Hackathorn says.
The Village has plenty of events throughout December for people to check out and make a day of fun family shopping!
