MACHIAS, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Machias woman was arrested by state troopers after they allege she drove to their barracks while intoxicated.
They said April Smith, 50, drove to the Machias barracks Wednesday to turn in found property. That's when they noticed she seemed intoxicated. Smith failed standardized field sobriety tests, and troopers said a chemical breath test revealed her to have a 0.08% BAC.
Smith was issued appearance tickets for Machias Town Court, where she is due to appear later this month.
