BATAVIA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Luck is in the air at Batavia Downs.

Batavia Downs Gambling has announced it just wrapped up its busiest week in its history, paying out $17.3 million in credits on more than $18.5 million credits played.

The winning streak included more than 740 jackpots, four of which topped $20 thousand.

Batavia Downs, which is owned and operated by Western Region Off-Track Betting Corporation, attributes the spike in visitors to the Legends and Stars Autograph and Sports Memorabilia Show. The two-day event featured Bills Quarterback Josh Allen and NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin.

Batavia Downs generated more than $616,000 for state education during its record breaking week, the gaming facility said.
