JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — This year's Lucille Ball Comedy Festival at the National Comedy Center in Jamestown was estimated to be the largest in its 28-year-history.

The festival ran from August 7th - 11th, and had attendees from 21 states. More tickets than ever were sold for events at this year's festival. The festival had 50 live comedy acts, including four headliner shows, two each from Sebastian Maniscalco and John Mulaney. There were also a number of rising stand-up comedians from across the nation who were showcased.

“We are so proud that our Lucille Ball Comedy Festival broke records this year – with what we estimate to be the most attendees and the most event tickets sold since our festival began 28 years ago,” stated Journey Gunderson, National Comedy Center Executive Director. “Clearly comedy fans from across the country love coming to Jamestown for great comedy performances and events -- and to visit our state-of-the-art National Comedy Center. We’re pleased that festival attendees filled local hotels, restaurants and retail establishments, and look forward to the festival’s continued growth in the coming years.”
