BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — In honor of Lt. Craig Lehner, the Judges and Police Executives Conference (JPC) of Erie County is establishing a second scholarship in his name.
"We were underfunded for it (their first scholarship), we needed something bigger in order to do it justice" AJ Verel, President of the JPC said.
The organization announced this second scholarship during their annual awards and scholarship banquet. This new scholarship will be offered for at least the next five years, and will pay for an entire education that is in the legal or law profession. They hope this continues to build trust between the community, and those who protect it.
