LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — The principal of Lockport High School tapped into her artistic side to illustrate just how much she misses her students during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The school put together a virtual talent show last week, and principal Dawn Wylke ended the more than 45-minute video with a message tailored to the school during this difficult time.
Wylke put her own lyrics to the tune of "You Are My Sunshine" while drawing a picture of the school.
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. I miss you all so.. very much. Do your school work, and use Google Chrome, be your best social distance and stay home," she sang.
"She has worked diligently to communicate with our students, families and staff during this difficult time," said school counselor Krista Isherwood. "She has a positive, student centered approach to ALL she does. She loves kids, and it shows."
