AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Amherst Police along with the New York State Police and the Erie County Sherrif's Department arrested Matthew Bartz of Lockport this Monday.
Bartz, 37, was arraigned in Amherst Town Court on seven felony charges for burglaries in the Towns of Clarence, Elma, Amherst, Depew and Lockport. The joint investigation among departments culminated over a couple weeks and is still ongoing.
According to Amherst Police, Bartz is being held at the Erie County Holding center in lieu of $20,000 cash bail and $100,000 bond for each charge. He is due back to court Friday, February 8th.
