BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Francesco Maccarrone, who previously pleaded guilty to sending indecent material to a minor after being "catfished," has been sentenced to five years probation and must register as a level 1 sex offender.
The Erie County District Attorney says Maccarrone admitted he sent sexually explicit messages to an underage female victim in December 2018 and pleaded guilty in March 2019.
Maccarrone was formerly a volunteer basketball coach at the Southtowns YMCA and a soccer coach with the South Buffalo Soccer Club.
