BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Iconic performer and musician Cher is in town for her Here We Go Again Tour. She will be performing tomorrow night at the Keybank Center and if you are going, you may want to look out for a certain dancer on stage.

Buffalo native, Melanie Lewis-Yribar is the resident choreographer for Cher’s Tour. She has traveled the world with the legendary singer and dancers. Lewis-Yribar is in charge of staging the cast of dancers and creating new moves for the performances.

“I feel so honored and blessed to be apart of it,” Lewis-Yribar said.

Lewis-Yribar grew up dancing at the Carol Joy School of Dance in Buffalo. Dance teacher Deborah Molloy couldn’t be more proud of her former student.

“Since the age of five, I knew this kid would be something and she has proved us right,” Molloy said.

Lewis-Yribar now lives in Grand Island with her son and husband. She says she is so excited to be performing in her hometown to show her family and friends the pride she has for her job.

“It’s huge that they get to see me on the stage with this mega star and global icon living my dream,” Lewis Yribar said.

Even on stage with an iconic musician like Cher-- she says for this show-- what really matters are the people in the audience.

“I’m so excited I get to do this… I love that I get to do this with her [dance teacher] my Mom and my family watching.”
