OLCOTT, N.Y. (WKBW) — “The businesses that are surviving now are surviving because they have creative ways of thinking,” co-owner of Imagine That Olcott Jessica Malloy said. And she says, Imagine that Buffalo is one of them. Though the business has been deemed nonessential, she says business is good.

“We’re doing really well so far, we just hope that we can keep on helping other people and that they’ll keep on helping us.”

According to the law, nonessential business still are still allowed to handle deliveries, so Imagine That Olcott has stocked up on their to-go art kits.

“We have always offered to go kits, so when nonessential business and everything got shut down, we put up a post about it on our Facebook page and said we’re offering items to go. We’ll do free delivery. We'll do shipping,” Malloy said.

Since that Facebook post went up, Malloy says she has packaged upwards of 300 orders.

“It’s so wonderful to have their support continue through something so difficult,” co-owner of Imagine That Olcott Christine Kelemen adds.

Customers can customize their art kits choosing between canvases, ceramics, brushes and paints.

“So you can get a kit technically as low as $7,” Malloy said.

You can even pick up a special basket for Easter

“What we’re doing this week on any orders is including either a basket or some eggs with some candy in them or eggs with an extra little ceramic piece.”

While things have been more hectic than usual for the women at Imagine that Olcott, they says they’re happy to bring relaxation and creativity into people’s lives.

“We’re happy to give people that ability to do art and bring art out into the community and have that even during these times.”
