Lewiston family facing child abuse charges

LEWISTON, N.Y. (WKBW) — A little boy is now in the pediatric intensive care unit at Oishei Children's Hospital, while three adults face charges ranging from Attempted Murder to Reckless Endangerment.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, 48-year-old Michael Wilson Sr. is charged with Attempted Murder and Assault following an investigation into life-threatening injuries sustained by a 5-year-old boy at a home on Lewiston Road in Lewiston. Wilson's common-law wife, 45-year-old Christina Degroff is charged with Reckless Endangerment, Hindering Prosecution and Making a Punishable False Written Statement. The couple's daughter, 18-year-old Michaela Wilson, is also facing Child Endangerment charges.

Investigators are not saying how the boy is related to the suspects and no information is being released about his injuries.
