LE ROY, N.Y. (WKBW) — Le Roy Central Junior-Senior School is alerting its students that it will be closed on Friday due to a threat.
The district's superintendent said the district was made aware of the threat made on the social media network Snapchat around 5 a.m. Friday.
In the interest of student safety and security all Le Roy Central Schools were closed Friday.
A Le Roy Junior-Senior High School student who made the threat has been identified and law enforcement will determine the proper course of action.
The superintendent says the student and family have been fully cooperative.
All extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday afternoon and evening have been postponed and will resume Saturday.

The Le Roy Police Department determined the threat was credible around 5 a.m. Friday, the student was identified shortly before 9 a.m. Friday.
Police say they are working with the district and the family to determine the proper course of action.
Police stress this was an isolated incident and there is no reason to have further concerns.
