BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A man considered to be a trailblazer for Buffalo's waterfront has been laid to rest.
A funeral procession for Captain Richard Hilliman made its way through Canalside Monday. It was a final farewell to the waterfront he loved and worked on for more than a decade.
Family, friends, and other community members gathered along the cobblestone streets as a tribute to Captain Hilliman.
The Hilliman family owned and operated the Spirit of Buffalo, Queen City Bike Ferry and Harbor Queen.
