TOWN OF HAMBURG, N.Y. (WKBW) — People in the Town of Hamburg could be dealing with water pressure problems Thursday due to a large water main break.
According to a Facebook post by the Town of Hamburg Emergency Services, the Erie County Water Authority is managing a break on Lake Shore Rd/Route 5, between Lake View Rd. and Eckhardt Rd.
The post goes on to say fire units from Lake View FD were assisting with traffic control and flooding to one nearby residence, until ECWA Sub-Contractors could arrive to help.
Officials say residents will see a slight decrease in water pressure, but it shouldn't be noticeable.
People living in direct proximity of the break will be the most severely impacted.
