Lancaster Police investigating crash that killed woman

LANCASTER, NY (WKBW) — Lancaster Police say a one-car-crash has claimed the life of a 41-year-old Akron woman.

Police say the woman, whose name has not been released, was traveling west on William Street, near Bowen, when the crash occurred around 10 p.m., Monday night.

According to police, the vehicle crossed over into the oncoming lanes and the driver over-corrected, causing the vehicle to roll.

Investigators say the woman was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. A 47-year-old Lancaster man was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment.

Police are continuing their investigation.
