Lake Ontario water levels are now higher than they were in 2017. The International Joint Commission says the water will get even higher.

The commission released a statement saying the water won’t crest for another 1-3 weeks.

Businesses that are not dealing with flooding are dealing with a different problem, a lack of customers.

The owner of Captain’s Galley in Olcott says that his business was cut in half in 2017. He fears the same thing will happen this year.

A shop owner in Lakeview Village Shoppes says business is fine, but says people need to know that not all of Olcott is underwater.

“Please come! Because Olcott is open!” said Karen Young the owner of Gift Box at the Beach.
