LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The City of Lackawanna has announced its Senior Center will be closed to the public and City Hall business will be done by appointment only.

According to officials, the changes are set to take effect on Monday, November 16, until further notice.

"These measures were undertaken to help prevent further spread of the Covid-19 virus per current guidance provided by New York State and Erie County Health Departments," says city officials.

Anyone requesting an appointment at Lackawanna City Hall are asked to contact the appropriate department. A directory can be found on the city's website.

During the temporary closure at the Senior Center, no lunches, activities or van services will be provided except for the Meals on Wheels program, according to the city.
