BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Who knows playgrounds best?

Kids!

Tuesday at the Buffalo Museum of Science, kids got the chance to plan a real life playground.

These are some of the things they want"

“Double monkey bars!”
“A unicorn where you can slide down and go flying!”
A rock wall
Tire swing
See-saw
Fireman pole

“After we get all the ideas from the kids, we sit down with the adults of the community and say, here is what the kids told us they want. How are we going to turn this into reality,” said Cait Zulewski with BlueCross Blue Shield of WNY.

The playground will be built in MLK Jr. Park in September. This whole thing is a possibility because of BlueCross Blue Shield WNY, KaBoom, and The Ralph C. Wilson Foundation.

Before these kids make something out of nothing, KaBoom needs help building this kid-inspired playground. They're looking for build-day volunteers on Friday, September 20th.
