"Keep Buffalo A Secret" Mural Pops on Main Street

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalonians driving down Main Street passed a new mural today.

This mural was inspired by a T-Shirt created in August by David Horesh, Cofounder of Oxford Pennant. The mural lives on 810 Main Street on a building owned by Legacy Development.

"One of the partners over there, Anthony, came into our store and he bought a "keep buffalo a secret" t-shrit," Horesh said. "He held it up and said 'you know, this would make a really cool mural,' and I kind of laughed it off and then the next day he texted me and was like, 'no, I really think this would make a really cool mural."

And the rest was history. In less than 24-hours and with the help of painter Ian de Veer, the 'Keep Buffalo A Secret,' came alive.

Horesh says the slogan represents a secret that all Buffalonians and those who love the city of Buffalo are all in on: Buffalo is a great city.

"Buffalo for a really long time was a down and out city that people made fun of," Horesh said. "They really only knew us for bad weather and bad sports teams...[but] Buffalo is one of those cities where when you live here, you sort of wonder why more people don’t see what we see."

'Keep Buffalo a Secert' merchandise can be found on on the Oxford Pennant website, or in their store on Main Street.
