Jamestown Police searching for a vehicle after pedestrian struck and seriously injured

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — Jamestown Police are searching for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian.

Police say a 61-year-old man was struck Tuesday morning in the intersection of East 6th St at Pine St. by a dark colored sedan, believed to be a Chevrolet Impala. The man was thrown to the ground and he sustained serious injuries to his legs.

Investigators believe the car involved may have front end damage. The vehicle, which was captured on a surveillance camera, is seen driving south on Pine St. from E. 6th St. and to then turns east on E. 5th St. where it travels east to East 2nd St. and then South on Winsor St..
