JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WKBW) — Jamestown police say they are investigating two drive-by shootings that took place Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The first incident occurred around 11 p.m. Christmas Eve, police say four or five shots were fired at a car at the intersection of Price and Sturges Streets.

The second incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Christmas Day, police say an SUV and a car collided near the corner of Newland and Forest Avenues and those inside the car reportedly fired shots at the SUV.

Jamestown police captain Robert Samuelson says they have already received a number of tips through social media.

Samuelson says the incidents appear to be targeted but they're still taking them very seriously.

No word was given on if the incidents are believed to be connected.
